Connections allow users to connect to remote services and get the data. For example a user can connect to Google calendar and display Google calendar entries on ManicTime Server, or get issues from GitHub as tags.
Important info
You only need to configure this if you are hosting ManicTime Server yourself. This does not apply if you are using ManicTime Cloud.
Before users can set up connections to services, an administrator first needs to configure connection to a remote service. This is done by obtaining Client Id and Client Secret from the remote service.
Timeline Connections
After configuring connection to a remote service(or, in the case of using a cloud-based solution, no configuration is needed), users can then connect their own accounts to the service and get the data. The data which is transferred from the remote service can only be seen by users, not by administrators. This ensures a secure environment where user privacy and data protection are upheld as top priorities.
For now, you can set up and use these connections:
Tag connections
After configuring connection to a remote service(or, in the case of using a cloud-based solution, no configuration is needed), administrators can here change various connection settings.
